[Homeworld pearl]

I really love this!
I just wish her right leg wasn't turned out so far when her hips are facing in the other direction.
Also wish there was a suggestion of a background, even just a ground shadow or gradient behind it, ya know? Great job! ^_^

The colors in this are wonderful and you did a great job imitating the background style in SU too. I was very drawn to this thumbnail!

However, I do have a few things to say beyond that after reading your description. The worst thing you can do to yourself is compare yourself to other people. The reality is, there will always be people better than you at anything no matter what you do. The important thing is to focus on continuing to improve YOURSELF. Which you said you think you have. That is the important thing. I know so many artists and animators that focus way too much on popularity and politics and not enough on just getting better and end up becoming stagnant and give up. Don't give up. Just because someone's art is more popular never means it is better. Remember that <3

It is nicely drawn but I don't feel you captured Pearl's personality or her body type very well. The neck is so thick that it looks manish to me along with the wide shoulders and chest. Pearl is very dainty and has a more triangular nose.

Yeah, I did add a bit too much "plot"! Haha. I think drawing a more triangular nose would make it look ridiculous though. Anyway, thanks for the comment!

Love it! You really captured their personalities with these poses! Great job!

Although when doing a GIF you should always make sure there is something on the first frame (even for just 1 frame) so that there is something to show in the preview.

Needs refining

I would say this is just a sketch. I would encourage you to go back and refine it. You should probabley ink it as well as color it to make it seem more finished. Some of the line work seems shakey and unsteady. If you decide to ink it then you should try and make the lines more smooth and confident looking. If you don't have a lot of experiance coloring then I would start with colored pencils, they allow more room for mistakes. Good luck and keep practicing! :)

The boob...

Seems flat. Some anatomy issues overall in the positioning of the arms and legs. Should probabley use more real life or photo reference next time.

Other then that- Awesome. Like the watercolor painting style A LOT.

Great work. I love the controled color palette with the dashes of bright blue, yellow, and green. The characters are unique yet uniformed under one universal style. Great work here. I really love this and your art style overall!
